Steps to adding annotations in video

If you have a video that could use some additional explanation, or if you want to make your content more accessible, these are the steps for adding annotations in videos.

Our annotation tool works on all major platforms, including: Windows 10, Mac OSX, Linux, iOS, and Android.

  1. First upload your video, drag it from your computer and drop it in the field at the top of the page. Or, click 'Video File' to select the file. We support most video formats (such as MP4, MOV, MP3, AVI, MPG, etc.)
  2. If you would like to add any annotations, drawings or comments, you can do so by typing in the text box below, or using the drawing tool. You can change the annotation color by going to the dropdown menu and selecting Tools.
  3. So now you have your video ready to share and your friends are waiting. Just press the Share button in the top toolbar, copy the link and send it to them. Everyone can now add their ideas by commenting on the annotations.

Timestamped Comments

Timestamped comments allow you to share a video with detailed feedback or thoughts about a specific shot or frame, without having to go back and forth with your team!

Click through a video and add comments as you go, then share that video with your team and they can see exactly what you're talking about!

You can also bookmark a specific frame and use that to discuss a specific aspect.

Add timestamped comments to your videos to make your feedback more precise and thorough!
